Wrigley's 1st Christmas!
Christmas came and went so fast this year. But luckily this Christmas was the first of many more to come where the joy of a child made the season so much better...more exciting and with more anticipation. Wrigley's 1st Christmas was a memorable one, what with all the snow and all his cousins gathered around, there were lots of memories made this year.
We woke up to a very {WhItE cHrIsTmAs} and had to hurry and get ready to be over at Steve's parent's house by 9...not that we weren't up at 6:30 with a very excited little baby. He must have known it was Christmas morning because he usually doesn't wake up til closer to 8! We were just to lazy to get moving. We finally braved the white world outside and made it to Grandma and Grandpa's house to have breakfast and presents.

The napless wonder!
So I don't know what is going on with my little one these days but for the last week it has been near impossible to get him to take a nap...I was thinking that it was because he was teething but that's not it (or at least I don't think so anymore). But seriously if I'm not holding him the whole time he won't sleep, and even then it's just for like 30 minutes at the most. I'm going crazy because he usually takes two 2-2 1/2 hour naps a day! And all I have to do is put him in his crib with his blanket and bear and he's out in a flash...but now I feel like I can't get anything done!
If you have any tricks to help PLEASE let me know!

{aLl I WaNt FoR cHrIsTmAs!}
I saw this on Rachel's blog and I just had to do it...it looked like too much fun! The idea is to make a list of 12 things that you would love to get for Christmas, but know that there is no way that you will ever get them....Here I go!
1. {A nEw HoUsE} Not that I don't love living basically rent free, but there is something to be said about having your very own place to do with exactly as you wish!
2. {A sUpEr MoDel'S bOdY} With excess baby weight not coming off the way it should I think it wouldn't hurt to ask Santa for a new body!...Or maybe I should just ask for a little help (I think the Wii Fit he's bringing us will do the trick!) :)
3. {MoNeY, mOnEy, MoNeY!) Who couldn't use more of that! I know I could, with Wrigley's appetite I swear I'm spending close to $40 a month on baby food! Not to mention how much diapers cost...and the fact that he grows out of his clothes WAY too fast!
4. {A sAtUrN oUtLoOk} Steve and I custom built one on the online the other night with all the bells and whistles we wanted and the $30,000 car's price tag went up to almost $40,000! WOW! Luxury costs a pretty penny I guess! :)
5. {A cRaFt RoOm} This would make keeping my house SO much easier! Seriously every time I get started on a new craft it stays all spread out on the kitchen table for weeks...finished or not! It's bad, plus it'll be my own little safe haven! Craft Craft Craft!
6. {A bEtTeR rElAtIoNsHiP wItH DaD} This is a long shot, but it would at least be nice to feel like he cared about me a little bit, rather than something that he has to deal with...Here's to hoping!
7. {SmAlLeR bOoBs} Yup I said it! I know some of you girls would like to have larger boobies...but trust me they're nothing but trouble! I would kill to be a B cup! :)
8. {A nEwBoRn BaBy} Now I do want one...not necessarily for Christmas but It would be nice to have a little one around. Wrigley just grew up too quickly and with Wyatt around it's making me baby hungry already! TROUBLE!
9. {To LiVe SoMeWhErE sUnNy} I was in Arizona a few years ago over Thanksgiving and I definitely need to invest in some real estate down there...that's where the money comes in handy!
10. {A cUrE fOr DySlExIa} It would be so great if I could cure my sweet little students of their learning disability. It would help them so much with their self confidence and open up a whole new world to them. In the meantime however I'm doing all I can to help them!
11 {A hUsBaNd FoR mY mOm} I hope this one really does happen and soon! She needs a good man in her life!
12 {To LiVe A lOnG & hApPy LiFe WiTh StEvE} This one is in the bag...but I thought I'd add it anyway.
Have fun and create your own list of the 12 things you would love for Christmas!

An early Christmas gift!
I've been saying for a while now that all I want for Christmas is to see Brooke, Jordan, and Wyatt....well Santa brought me my gift early this year. The Brady family made the long trek home from Luxembourg on Thursday. Jordan was released from his contract with his team and is searching for a new team to play with. But in the mean time they had 2 tickets home for the Holidays!
Seeing Wyatt for the first time was so great! He so darling. He reminds me so much of Brooke...and my cousin Jared and his kids. He has a lot of Hoyt in him.

{tWiLiGhT pReMiEr NiGhT}
Thursday at about 9:45 I met up with my sister-in-laws and a bunch of other people in anticipation for the big movie. We went to Chili's to grab a bite before the 12:01 show. I was so nervous though that I couldn't eat anything! I know I'm so lame but I was so excited. The movie really didn't disappioint. It was cheesy and corny in a few places yes, but it was still really good. I can't wait for the other books to be made into movies.

The problem with technology!
I've recently discovered a major flaw in the "cell only" part of my life. For the last 2 days my phone has been going crazy. I can't do anything with it. I only sometimes get my texts, and calls. I can't call or text. But the best part is that when I called T-Mobile to see what was going on the guys was like "well your phone is active so you should be fine." I wanted to scream at him! THEN WHY CAN'T I USE THE STUPID THING! Then he said he'd x-fer me to customer service and the lady there didn't listen to anything that I said. She told me to call from another phone. TWICE! And that was after I told her that I only have a cell phone. No land line. But apparently that didn't compute.
So if you've been trying to get a hold of me for the last few days I'm sorry....but technology is EVIL!

{BaBy FoOd & BaRe BoTtOmS}
I had some left over green beans so I added in some canned turkey chunks that I had cooked into the bullet, again with some water. It looked absolutely {DiSgUsTiNg} when it was done, but so does all baby food that involves meat in my opinion!
{I HaTe It}

{NoPe..It'S yUcKy!}
Last we have a few pictures after the clean up bath of a very cute little bottom. Poor Wrigley has a very bad case of diaper rash...he's had more poopy diapers in the last 3 days than he has in about 2 weeks! So that has taken a bit of a toll on his {SwEeT LiTtLe HiNd PaRtS} so we've been doing our best to heal his little bum. Which last night meant that he got to crawl around naked for a while. I was also told that the milk of magnesia...or whatever that stuff is called is really good to put on their bottoms. Yesterday I kept calling it "Milk of Malaysia" Steve just laughed and shook his head at me.
{CuTe LiTtLe NaKeD bOy}
You can see those little red raw spots on his bum. It looks so much better than it did on wed, when he looke like he layed out bare bottom in the blazing hot sun!

Baby Signing Times! WORKS!!!
Wrigley has learned to sign milk! He doesn't know that it means milk, he knows it means some kind of food because he was doing it after every bite of food we gave him while we were out for lunch today! I was so excited!
Wrigley also knows the songs. Steve and I have been singing them to him
{A LoT}
...those songs get stuck in your head and they are so *HaRd* to get out! It's fun though watching his face as he recognizes the songs! He is so much fun and just learning and growing so much everyday! He is such a joy! Steve and I have a lot of fun being his parents. Every day he grows and learns something new!
He's about 3 months ahead of the average with his developmental mile stones. He started crawling a week before he was 6 months old, then as soon as he mastered that he was pulling himself up on furniture and then about a week later he was cruising! So by that standard he should be walking by about 9 months. That's Christmas people! He needs to slow down and be my little baby for just a bit longer!

Poor Little Man!
{SO} after reading my last post, I'm sure you you were all shocked by the lady who VERY mistakenly assumed that I was beating my child. I was too. Well now I'm totally {HORRIFIED}, because to when I picked Wrig's up from daycare (by the way he only goes 5 hours a week. Only 5 hours a WEEK!), he had just fallen and hit his face on a toy and it was starting to bruise. RIGHT BY HIE EYE! His freakin' eye of all places!
Looks pretty bad huh! I was so shocked. He's fallen and hit his face and head on stuff before but he's never had a bruise. I'm probably being way to sensitive about it now, but how can I not be when a total stranger freaked out about his face when there was makeup on it for his Halloween costume!?So after leaving daycare I called my Mom and asked her what I should do, and DUH she told me to put some ice on it. I don't know why I didn't think of that myself, well yeah I do...I was totally freakin' that's why. Anyway amazingly enough he fell asleep on the way home and I was able to put one of those bean packs on his face that was in the freezer without him waking up!He's such a tough little guy! I feel so bad that this happened to him. When I picked him up they said that it happened just a few minutes before I got there. {STUPID TRAFFIC!} It makes me so sad...I'm so sorry little bug!

Trick or Treat!
Grandma Nanci took the boys to get their pictures taken in their Halloween costumes at Kiddie Kandid in the mall. It was SO fun! The boys looked so cute and everyone kept commenting on how cute they were.
Wrigley was obviously a {pirate}..my Mom and I had a lot of fun "beating him up" with make up, giving him a black eye and some bruises, as well as a "scruffy" face. It was so fun. UNTIL I got to Kiddie Kandid and this lady was whispering to her friend, and giving me dirty looks. She finally asked me, "What did you do to your baby?" with this really mad look on her face. I was so confused and said "huh? Nothing." Then she asked if it was makeup and I basically said "DUH" to her and she was like. "I'm so relieved, I was so worried for a minute for his safety!" Some people right! I was just thinking...yeah I'm one of those dumb people that beats the crap outta their kids and then brings them into public. It's funny but at the same time really hurt my feelings!
Anyways these are some more of our super cute boys in their costumes!
Ethan was the best little Turtle. In some of his pictures he even looked very turtle like...I think it was those great cheeks of his!
The boys were both such good sports getting their pictures taken. Wrigley hardly smiled which was very uncharacteristic of him, but it was so cute to see all the people staring at him. OH those little angels! How I love them!
