{BaBy FoOd & BaRe BoTtOmS}

Yesterday I made some homemade baby food...now I've done this with fruit but yesterday I got ambitious and used Turkey, apples and green beans. I made some green bean puree It's super easy. I just steamed the green beans for about 10 minutes, then I put them in a cold water bath for a few minutes to cool them down. Then I put them in my {AwEsOmE} Magic Bullet with just a little water and about 2 minutes later I had some green slime for my little worm! :)

I had some left over green beans so I added in some canned turkey chunks that I had cooked into the bullet, again with some water. It looked absolutely {DiSgUsTiNg} when it was done, but so does all baby food that involves meat in my opinion!

I also made some Turkey with apples...now that was even yuckier looking than the beans and Turkey...but hey who am I to judge? It took me all of about 15 minutes to make A LOT of baby food for Wrigley...and the best part is that this is WAY cheaper than buying the stupid stuff at the store. But those containers that the Gerber Baby food comes in is very handy to put the homemade baby food in (just a little side note!)

The moment of truth came last night when I fed Wrig's some of the Turkey and apples and this is what happened!

{NoPe..It'S yUcKy!}

Last we have a few pictures after the clean up bath of a very cute little bottom. Poor Wrigley has a very bad case of diaper rash...he's had more poopy diapers in the last 3 days than he has in about 2 weeks! So that has taken a bit of a toll on his {SwEeT LiTtLe HiNd PaRtS} so we've been doing our best to heal his little bum. Which last night meant that he got to crawl around naked for a while. I was also told that the milk of magnesia...or whatever that stuff is called is really good to put on their bottoms. Yesterday I kept calling it "Milk of Malaysia" Steve just laughed and shook his head at me.

{CuTe LiTtLe NaKeD bOy}

You can see those little red raw spots on his bum. It looks so much better than it did on wed, when he looke like he layed out bare bottom in the blazing hot sun!

Grandpa Jeff

My Dad came into town this weekend to take care of some business and to meet up with us kids, and {ThE gRaNdKiDs!}
Rob & I met up with him this morning at Mimi's Cafe for an early breakfast {YUMMY!}

It was so great seeing him since the last time that I saw him Wrigley was only about 2 months old...& 6 months later he sure has changed a lot. My Dad just couldn't believe how much he's grown and become more aware of things. So I gave him an update of Wrigley, and just how much he's grown.

*1 tooth, and another on its way

*crawling like a little speedster

*stair climber extraordinaire

*big time talker

*milk signer

*big booger maker

*let me feed myself

*long reach...nothings safe anymore

Just to name a few things that he's accomplished in the last 6 months. And we are pretty sure that the little man will be walking by Christmas, if he's not then it'll be a huge surprise.
Wrigley and his grandpa...every once in a while I look at Wrig's and I see a little bit of my Dad. Mostly its in his chin, and I just see it every once in a while. Taryn was a big shock to my Dad too, she is such a clone of Shawna but is starting to look more and more like Robbie everyday though.

Baby Signing Times! WORKS!!!

Steve and I are trying to teach Wrigley ASL with the help of Baby Signing Times. He's been watching it every morning for the last few weeks and today we got a glimpse of why its so

{AWESOME!}

Wrigley has learned to sign milk! He doesn't know that it means milk, he knows it means some kind of food because he was doing it after every bite of food we gave him while we were out for lunch today! I was so excited!

Wrigley also knows the songs. Steve and I have been singing them to him

{A LoT}

...those songs get stuck in your head and they are so *HaRd* to get out! It's fun though watching his face as he recognizes the songs! He is so much fun and just learning and growing so much everyday! He is such a joy! Steve and I have a lot of fun being his parents. Every day he grows and learns something new!

He's about 3 months ahead of the average with his developmental mile stones. He started crawling a week before he was 6 months old, then as soon as he mastered that he was pulling himself up on furniture and then about a week later he was cruising! So by that standard he should be walking by about 9 months. That's Christmas people! He needs to slow down and be my little baby for just a bit longer!

Uhm what the?!

Can I just say that I hate computers! Why does this blog site never do what I tell it to? I need computer therapy! Hope you can read the first part of that last entry!

Poor Little Man!

{SO} after reading my last post, I'm sure you you were all shocked by the lady who VERY mistakenly assumed that I was beating my child. I was too. Well now I'm totally {HORRIFIED}, because to when I picked Wrig's up from daycare (by the way he only goes 5 hours a week. Only 5 hours a WEEK!), he had just fallen and hit his face on a toy and it was starting to bruise. RIGHT BY HIE EYE! His freakin' eye of all places!
Looks pretty bad huh! I was so shocked. He's fallen and hit his face and head on stuff before but he's never had a bruise. I'm probably being way to sensitive about it now, but how can I not be when a total stranger freaked out about his face when there was makeup on it for his Halloween costume!?So after leaving daycare I called my Mom and asked her what I should do, and DUH she told me to put some ice on it. I don't know why I didn't think of that myself, well yeah I do...I was totally freakin' that's why. Anyway amazingly enough he fell asleep on the way home and I was able to put one of those bean packs on his face that was in the freezer without him waking up!He's such a tough little guy! I feel so bad that this happened to him. When I picked him up they said that it happened just a few minutes before I got there. {STUPID TRAFFIC!} It makes me so sad...I'm so sorry little bug!

Trick or Treat!

Grandma Nanci took the boys to get their pictures taken in their Halloween costumes at Kiddie Kandid in the mall. It was SO fun! The boys looked so cute and everyone kept commenting on how cute they were.

Wrigley was obviously a {pirate}..my Mom and I had a lot of fun "beating him up" with make up, giving him a black eye and some bruises, as well as a "scruffy" face. It was so fun. UNTIL I got to Kiddie Kandid and this lady was whispering to her friend, and giving me dirty looks. She finally asked me, "What did you do to your baby?" with this really mad look on her face. I was so confused and said "huh? Nothing." Then she asked if it was makeup and I basically said "DUH" to her and she was like. "I'm so relieved, I was so worried for a minute for his safety!" Some people right! I was just thinking...yeah I'm one of those dumb people that beats the crap outta their kids and then brings them into public. It's funny but at the same time really hurt my feelings!

Anyways these are some more of our super cute boys in their costumes!

Ethan was the best little Turtle. In some of his pictures he even looked very turtle like...I think it was those great cheeks of his!

The boys were both such good sports getting their pictures taken. Wrigley hardly smiled which was very uncharacteristic of him, but it was so cute to see all the people staring at him. OH those little angels! How I love them!

Kenneth Cole & super cute baby clothes...an expensive obsession!

Well since I've discovered the Kenneth Cole Reaction collection for baby boys at Macy's I've gone a little over board...like spending almost $80 on 4 outfits! Yah crazy. But the best part of it is that Wrig's can't even wear them for at least 5 more months. They are all either 12 month or 18 month sizes. Along with those I've bought Wrig's all set for next summer. There have just been so many great sales, and it's hard to resist buying all the super cute baby boy clothes. Poor Steve would kill me if he knew what I was doing! Lucky for me he only looks at our blog when I make him!

This one is my absolute favorite! This will be a church outfit for him, or when we go to my friends wedding down in California in March. Wrigley will be SO cute in this! I can't wait for it to fit!

This outfit will be perfect for running around San Diego next summer, on the boardwalk or at Sea World! I can't wait!

These two are super cute too! What can I say...Kenneth Cole has got cute stuff for little boys!

Hangin' with they boyz!

Today was such a fun day! My sister-in-law brought over her little boy for me to watch for a while...it was so much fun to have Wrigley and Ethan together. They spent most of the time just staring at each other trying to get a handle on the other. Since Wrig's is so much bigger than Ethan he kinda man-handled him a little bit. He just doesn't understand being gentle and soft yet (what do ya do!)!

Give us a hug! Ethan looked like he was ready for take off with his arms spread out wide...but I like to think that he just wanted to give me a hug!
The boys just kept staring at each other. It was hilarious! Ethan was more enthralled by watching Wrigley that the other way around. Mostly cause Wrigs kept crawling over to Steve's guitar to make some music.
Ethan was so cute! I had him laughing and talking to me for a good 10 mintues before Kris came to pick him up! It was so much fun being with my boys today!

7 months old!

How is time flying by this fast! I just don't understand...my baby is growing up way too fast. He's already 7 months old and is an expert crawler, stands up in his crib in protest to naps, and wants to be a stair climber, along with being quite the fish. He just seems to be growing up way too fast.

He is such a fun boy and he sure keeps us busy chasing after him, or keeping things out of his reach. His favorite toy right now is his car seat! He's always crawling over to it and climbing in or playing with the straps inside of it! He's so funny!

He loves to smile and talk to himself or try and have serious conversations with me...unfortunately we don't understand each other. But Steve and I have decided that we are going to teach him ASL. We're both really excited at taking this on. *{This is one of my new favorite pictures of him!}*
