tHe ZoO & bBq'S

Touching a snake!

Chasing after Taryn~

Last week Wrigs and I went to the Zoo with Shawna and Taryn. The kids had so much fun together. It is so fun to see them playing together. Over the last few months these cousins have become such good buddies!

Saturday we went to some friends house to have a BBQ and Wrigs had fun playing with their puppy and jumping on the tramp!

The Puppy and Wrigs would take turn running after each other. It was really sweet!
He had some seriously static while playing on the tramp. Steve and the other guys there were playing basketball and Wrigs wanted in on the fun, and so Steve gave Wrigs the ball and played ball with him.

May, Arizona & Beautiful Weddings

My sweet cousin Meagan got married last week to Chris Alme. I was lucky enough to take my little man with me and go down for the week to share in their happiness...and the HEAT! It was a great excuse to get away from life for awhile and just enjoy nature, and by nature I mean the pool in our backyard and the sun. It was so nice and hot while we were there. 100 plus degrees everyday. It was Heaven on earth!
This kid loves the water, as soon as he woke up from his nap it was to the water we went, he would splash around just having a ball...I think I need to go buy a pool for him for our house!

Here are a few highlights from our trip.

On our way down to Mesa, we had to make a pit stop for the little one, he had a 101 temp the day we left so I took him to the Pediatrician in Cedar City to get checked out. I thought he had an ear infection, but as it turned out it was strep throat! Poor little guy. That'll teach me for not taking him in before we left!

This is my cousins dog, which would attack Wrigs with kisses and he DID NOT like that. But once the dog was in the cage, over to visit him he went doing the sign for dog the whole time.

Wrigs absolutely fell in love with my cousin Michael while we were there, he just loved playing with him, and Mike seemed to enjoy it too! I thought they were so cute together. I know Wrigs is excited to see him again at Aspen Grove in a few weeks!

This little guys is Jason, he is my cousin Jared's boy. Would you believe it if I told you that this guy went up behind Wrigs, and in the best exorcist voice you ever heard said "GO AWAY!" It was the funniest thing I've ever seen! I wonder where he got that from?!

All the girl cousins got together for a great picture!

On the way back to Utah, we stopped off to visit my Uncle Nathan and my Aunt Shantha and their 3 darlings. Drew, Anjali and Paige. They have all grown up so much since I last saw them almost 3 years ago for Drew's baptism....oh how I miss them!

Mothers Day

We decided to do some made with love gifts for the very special Mothers & Grandmothers in our lives this Mothers Day!

For the Great-Grandmothers!

Wrigs did not enjoy getting his hands painted and forced onto the pots, but he was a good sport about it!

For my Mom, and the miracle that she truly is! I love her so much!

For Steve's Mom, again Wrigs did not enjoy the hand and foot in the cement!

Living Planet Aquarium!

Yesterday Shawna and I ventured to the Living Planet Aquarium with the little ones. It was a lot of fun, we saw some stuff that grossed us out, like this octopus!but we also saw and touched some pretty cool stuff! Like Stingrays!

Here are some of the highlights!

They had so much fun looking at things together, Taryn was SO excited to play with Wrigs it was so cute!

How funny is his face in this picture! It was so funny lifting him up to the big shark. Taryn was NOT happy that I was doing this, she had such a scared look on her face. I swear she was getting ready to bolt if I came to get her to lift her up!

Saying Goodbye

Brooke, Jordan, & Wyatt have left us for bigger and better things in Texas and Louisiana for the summer. Wrigs and I are really sad to see them go, because we have both lost our buddies. Wyatt and Wrigs had loads of fun over the last few months playing together...well let me re-phrase that, Wrigs played by, over, and on Wyatt and the poor kid just took it!

The boys playing together one last time, Wrigley was so sad that he pushed Wyatt down...Wrigs is kinda a bully! We need to work on that!

Wyatt doing what he does best, attacking everything in sight to put it in his mouth. He's our little vampire.

Fundraisers!

I am putting together a fundraiser for my work, a tutoring center where we give specialized tutoring to children and adults who have poor literacy and who are dyslexic.

I am REALLY REALLY excited about this fundraiser, because of the great possibilities that it has. We are having a garage sale with all of the employees, and families of those who seek our services. I also want any of you who have stuff to sale to come and sell your stuff. We will have a raffle for I hope some really great stuff, bikes, skateboards etc... as well as a concession stand. Please let me know if you want to have a table at the garage sale, or if you have stuff that you want to donate! YES donate, and just like at the D.I. we can give you a donation receipt!

All of the proceeds go to the scholarship program that we have in our tutoring center, we have so many families who cannot afford the $35 an hour fee for their children to come and receive the help that they need to have a better future!

The Super Saturday Sale will be held on Saturday May 30Th from 8am - 2pm in our office parking lot located at 7304 South 300 west in Midvale.

Please come join in our effort in "Building Brighter Futures"
