Quick trip to the NW

Our family took a quick trip to Portland this past weekend. My grandma passed away and so we went up for the funeral.
It was so nice to visit where I grew up with my family and to show them all around. We stayed at some old friends house, saw some old friends and caught up with family.
Here are a few...a few pictures from the event.

{wRiGlEy 1St CaMpInG tRiP}

We packed up our car and headed south to Mona for a quick camping trip with some friends this Labor Day weekend. This was my 2nd experience camping and number 1 for Wrigley. I wasn't quite sure what to expect...but it went much better than expected.

We got to the site and set up our tent...only then did we realize we had the wrong poles for our tent...oh well what do ya do? We made the best of it, and we were still plenty comfortable for the night. Wrigley was such a good little boy, exploring all through our camp site and following the boys into the wilderness for potty time!
Wrigley getting an exploding fist bump from Jayson! His favorite part of the evening!
There's nothing like a clean face while your enjoying the great outdoors!

It was so much fun that I want to go again over UEA!

Steve had fun going off the rope swing that we found there...it had 3 different levels you could swing off of. Wrigley however wasn't so excited about the water...to cold or something, but that was the first time he ever wanted to get out of the water right after diving in!

San Diego in July

We just got back from the most GLORIOUS week in San Diego. It was just what I needed, a nice sandy beach to relax at. We rented a house in Mission Beach and split our time between the beach, the Zoo and Sea World. Wrigley had SO much fun all week with his cousins. He especially loved the ocean. He would run in splash and then when a wave would come he would turn around and run the other way.
He tried to drink the sea water (YUCK) and I'm sure that he ate plenty of sand...but
HE LOVED IT! He is doing the sign for fish.

Buried in the sand with Dad. He loved it!
The San Diego Zoo...he wasn't too happy that day, it was especially hot out.

The La Jolla Cave!

Yup. That's a shark!
My new favorite picture! I love these two boys!

The Carousel at Sea Port Village. I used to ride it every summer when we would go as a little girl, so I had to have Wrigs ride it while we were there.

I am sad to be home, but we are looking forward to going back next year!

May, Arizona & Beautiful Weddings

My sweet cousin Meagan got married last week to Chris Alme. I was lucky enough to take my little man with me and go down for the week to share in their happiness...and the HEAT! It was a great excuse to get away from life for awhile and just enjoy nature, and by nature I mean the pool in our backyard and the sun. It was so nice and hot while we were there. 100 plus degrees everyday. It was Heaven on earth!
This kid loves the water, as soon as he woke up from his nap it was to the water we went, he would splash around just having a ball...I think I need to go buy a pool for him for our house!

Here are a few highlights from our trip.

On our way down to Mesa, we had to make a pit stop for the little one, he had a 101 temp the day we left so I took him to the Pediatrician in Cedar City to get checked out. I thought he had an ear infection, but as it turned out it was strep throat! Poor little guy. That'll teach me for not taking him in before we left!

This is my cousins dog, which would attack Wrigs with kisses and he DID NOT like that. But once the dog was in the cage, over to visit him he went doing the sign for dog the whole time.

Wrigs absolutely fell in love with my cousin Michael while we were there, he just loved playing with him, and Mike seemed to enjoy it too! I thought they were so cute together. I know Wrigs is excited to see him again at Aspen Grove in a few weeks!

This little guys is Jason, he is my cousin Jared's boy. Would you believe it if I told you that this guy went up behind Wrigs, and in the best exorcist voice you ever heard said "GO AWAY!" It was the funniest thing I've ever seen! I wonder where he got that from?!

All the girl cousins got together for a great picture!

On the way back to Utah, we stopped off to visit my Uncle Nathan and my Aunt Shantha and their 3 darlings. Drew, Anjali and Paige. They have all grown up so much since I last saw them almost 3 years ago for Drew's baptism....oh how I miss them!
