Visiting Bella & Edward!

So my Mom and two of her girlfriends took alittle trip two weeks ago and went to Forks Washington! I know it's a real place! I told my Mom that she had to say Hi to Bella and Edward for Wrigley and I, since I have been reading the stories to him. We are on the last book and having a hard time with it since Wrigley just wants to spend most of his time talking rather than listening...it used to be my "trick" to get him to go to sleep but I'm not having much luck with than anymore...Anyways this is Forks! Well at least the sign. She said that they talked to a girl that worked at one of the gas stations there, they asked her if she had read the book and her answer was. "Oh gosh no!" and she acted all annoyed about it. She said that people travel from all over to come see Forks! The Mecca for Twillight fans everywhere!

Isn't he precious!

My Mom took this picture on Saturday at Taryn's Birthday party and I just had to post it because it is so cute! I just love my little man!

Race for the Cure

This past Saturday I was able to participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Brest Cancer event. It was especially meaningful since both my Grandma and Aunt are survivors. It was really neat to be there and to see the tens of thousands of people there supporting such an important cause. It was also a lot of fun because I was on the "Janner's Bosom Buddies" team to support my Aunt Janice who most recently won her battle. Most of my cousins were there with their kids, and so was my Sister-in-law Shawna with my cute little Niece Taryn (who actually turned 1 that day too!), and my Mom. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to participate next year...and actually run the dang thing!
There were so many people there that you moved at snail pace. It took us 1 hour and 13 minutes to walk the 3 mile course! It drove me nuts!

Oh how they grow!

Wrigley is already 2 months old! I can hardly believe it! Yesterday we went in for his 2 month check up and oh how he has grown! When he was born he weighed 7 lbs 7 oz, at his 2 week he was 8 lbs .09 oz, and yesterday he weighed in at a whopping 12 lbs 21 oz! He is so big! He has gotten a lot taller too! He's gone from 20.5 inches the day he was born to 21.26 inches at 2 weeks and yesterday he was just barely under two feet at 23.9 inches! He is a long skinny boy!
He also had to have 4 immunizations yesterday! It was so hard to sit there holding him and have the nurse jam those needles into his sweet little legs. Wrigley was sure quick to let her know that he did NOT like what she was doing to him! Poor little guy. The nurse gave me some baby Tylenol to give him to help with the pain and it completely knocked him out for almost the rest of the day and night! I sure missed him while he slept the day away!

Blessed Angel

This past weekend was a busy one for our family. It started with Brooke and Jordan's graduation from UVSC on Friday morning. We were lucky enough to attend and go to a fun little brunch at the park after the commencement.
It was so fun to be a part of that! Way to go Brooke and Jordan!

Saturday night we went out with Steve's family to the Sky Box to celebrate Rachel and Gruff's birthdays. We also got to watch the Jazz game from the "Stadium" section of the restaurant. It was really fun, and it was fun to have people "OOO-ing" and "AHH-ing" at our cute little Wrigley. He had fun too! He was passed around from Aunt to Aunt and to Grandma. He also spent some time cuddling up with Dad watching the game!
I think that is such a cute little picture! Our little boy is already becoming a sports nut.

The last and most important part of the weekend was Sunday, when Steve blessed our little Angel in church. It was so great to be surrounded by family and friends for the great event. What made it even more special is that it worked out perfectly that my Grandparents...Wrigley's Great-Grandparents were in town from Oregon and my Grandpa was able to participate in Wrigley's blessing.
Wrigley was such an Angel the whole day. He was so happy and content. In fact Steve told me that Wrigley was wide-eyed and alert through his whole blessing, and then when Steve lifted him up to show the congregation he just had this cute little smirk on his face like, "Look at how cute I am!" Sunday night when we were in bed Steve turned to me and said, "I really feel that Wrigley grew up a little bit today." It was just a really sweet observation from Steve and the perfect way to end a great and emotional day for our little family.
